FAQ's

Do you offer free consultations?

Yes, a telephone consult with the speech therapist is available anytime during working hours.  You and the speech therapist can discuss if an evaluation is right for your child.

What is your new patient procedure?

Please contact me and I will schedule a time to consult with you.  At that time, the next course of action will be determined. (i.e. evaluation, screening, continuation of services, etc.)

I am interested in Teletherapy, how does this work?

The SLP is licensed to provide services in Tarrant and Johnson counties.  It is recommended that evaluations take place in-person and then treatment can be provided through teletherapy if requested.  The zoom platform is used for this method and all paperwork and forms are sent through a HIPPA compliant electronic medical record portal.

Do you accept Insurance?

At this time, Southern Star Speech does accept some insurance and is also private pay.  If I do not accept your current insurance, I can provide the client with a superbill at the end of each month, to submit to their insurance agency for possible reimbursement.

I accept the following insurance:

  • Tricare

  • Humana Military

  • Aetna

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas

  • United Health Care

How much do speech therapy sessions cost?

I offer highly competitive rates and would love to chat with you about your needs and what to expect.  Feel free to email, call, or text!
